Reston Nando's Donates All Sales Saturday to Local High Schools

Donates 100% of Sales on Saturday Nov. 18 to Support Music at South Lakes High School and Herndon High School

RESTON, VA – Nando’s PERi-PERi, the South-African-Portuguese restaurant known worldwide for its spicy flame-grilled chicken, is hatching in Reston. The restaurant, at 12120 Sunset Hills Road in the RTC West development, is now open to the public.

Nando’s will hold a Grand Opening on Saturday Nov. 18, and donate 100% of sales to support music programs at the South Lakes High School and Herndon High School in Fairfax County.

“This is all about being good neighbors, and Nando’s looks forward to becoming an integral part of the Reston community,” said Sepanta Bagherpour, VP of Marketing for Nando’s PERi-PERi. “We are proud to support musical programs at two of the most impressive public high schools in Virginia.”

The Reston location will be Nando’s 40th restaurant in the United States, and ninth in Virginia. Over the past several years, Nando’s has raised more than $250,000 for public schools and non-profit organizations, and hosted a recent fundraiser for Chance the Rapper’s non-profit, Social Works.

Herndon and South Lakes may be fierce rivals on the football field, but they are coming together on Nov. 18 to raise funds for their world-class marching bands. Herndon High School will use the funds to send their marching band to represent the United States at the 75th Commemoration of D-Day in Normandy, France, in 2019. South Lakes High School will use the donations to send their marching band to Hawaii to perform at the 2017 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, and to meet other needs of the band program.
