RESTON, VA -- The Fairfax County Police Department has formally fired a police officer who worked out of the Reston District Station about a month after he was arrested in connection with the death of a 6-month-old girl.
Police announced Aug. 28 that 38-year-old Jason Colley of Monrovia, Md., had turned himself in at the Frederick County Law Enforcement Center after an indictment was signed by a Maryland judge in connection with the child's death.
His firing was effective at close of business on Friday, Sept. 28, police said.
