Reston Snow Alert: Here's What To Expect
Another week, yet another chance for snow in our area ... that once again may go unfulfilled.

RESTON, VA -- This snow season may have been a total bust in the Reston area, but the teases just keep coming deep into March. The latest forecast calls for a mix of precipitation between Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon that starts as rain, transitions to sleet, and, yes, could then turn into snow, according to one forecast.
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang calls it a "complex" forecast that favors areas northwest of D.C. if you're looking for snow. The big question is how soon the transition happens between rain and sleet, as the sooner it happens the more snow we'll get.
"Moderate snow and sleet accumulations are possible near the Interstate 81 corridor, causing disruption," CWG says. "Accumulation prospects are more limited near and especially southeast of Interstate 95, but can’t yet be ruled out entirely."

And that won't be the end of it. There will be another chance for a similar event on Saturday. You can be forgiven for being totally over this by now, even if you're a snow lover.
As for the rest of the forecast, it's going to be a warm one Monday with temperatures topping out in the mid-50s, according to the Weather Channel. However, temperatures will take a huge plunge Tuesday as the storm rolls in, with highs in the high 30s and lows dipping into the 20s through Wednesday.

Things will start to warm up later this week, but it won't really feel like spring, with temperatures topping out in the mid to high 40s and still diving below freezing often.
