Reston Town Center Tenant Makes Huge Move

Boston Properties has just announced that a major company will relocate their headquarters in a new RTC building.

RESTON, VA -- Boston Properties has just announced that Leidos, a major defense contractor and Fortune 500 company, will relocate its existing Reston headquarters to a yet-to-be constructed building at Reston Town Center.

Leidos will move into the new building, the last office space to be built in the 86-acre "urban core" of RTC, sometime in 2020. Construction on the building is set to begin this spring, according to a BXP statement.

Leidos will combine its Reston operations from two buildings into one. The move was prompted by Leidos' acquisition of Lockheed Martin's IS&GS business, according to the statement.

“We are thrilled to be developing and moving into a brand new headquarters. This will help us centralize Leidos employees in one exclusively-Leidos building, which will make our activities and operations as a company more collaborative and efficient,” said Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Roger Krone in the statement. “Our new space will give us the opportunity to build on our culture and brand as a combined company, as well as be able to better tailor our working environment to meet employee needs.”
