Reston Weather Alert: Lots Of Rain Ahead
Spring-like weather conditions will descend on the D.C. area in the coming days.

RESTON, VA -- It's going to feel positively spring-like in the Reston area in the coming days, with lots of rain and temperatures soaring as high as the 60s.
It will be mostly dry and chilly on Friday, according to a forecast from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, but that will change starting Saturday as temperatures zoom into the 50s and showers beginning by midday.
Sunday will also be quite soggy, and temperatures may get into the 60s. The wetness should stick around into early next week, which our region badly needs due to the winter drought we've been experiencing. Rainfall totals should reach at least an inch.

So forget about the possibility of snowfall for at least a little while. We'll see around midweek next week whether the moisture will stick around and if temperatures will plunge back into what we typically expect in February.
