Reston Weekend: Trout Fishing in America with Special Guest Dana Louise

Introducing folk music's fresh new face – and Ezra's daughter – Dana Louise; show is Sunday afternoon in Reston. Watch a video below.

Looking for weekend plans? Trout Fishing in America, four-time Grammy nominees, are heading to Reston to perform this weekend.

They’ll be performing Sunday afternoon, at 3 p.m., at the Reston Community Center.

Trout Fishing in America’s infectious mix of folk/pop and family music is enriched by the diverse influences of reggae, Latin, blues, jazz and classical music. They’ve been playing music together since the 1970s, when they met up in Texas in a folk rock band. In 1979, Trout Fishing was born, and now - 15 albums and four Grammy nominations later - Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet still get up every day looking forward to playing music together.

The two are Texas natives who met in Houston and now make their homes with their families in the Arkansas Ozarks. The band has been performing since 1979.

At this weekend’s performance, you’ll get to hear Dana Louise, daughter of Ezra Idlet; she’s coming out with her first album next month with a release party in Fayetteville, Ark.
