A voting contest by USA Today's 10Best places the Reston Holiday Parade at No. 6 currently.

RESTON, VA — We all know that Reston puts on quite the show for its holiday parade, but apparently, it's one of the best in the nation, according to a new poll.
USA Today's 10Best is putting together its "Readers' Choice 2016" list for best holiday parades, and users have voted the Reston Holiday Parade at No. 6 in the nation as of Friday morning. Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade in Annapolis currently leads the list, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York is No. 2.
This will be the 26th annual Reston Holiday Parade, and it will take place on Friday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. The parade features "Macy’s-style balloons, musicians, dancers, antique cars, characters, community groups, dignitaries, special guest emcees, and much more," according to the description on Reston Town Center's website.

"The one-of-a-kind, one-hour, half-mile parade along Market Street also welcomes the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage," the site adds. "Since 1991, rain or shine, the parade has been an annual tradition on the day after Thanksgiving. Before the parade begins, thousands of jingle bells will be handed out to spectators along the route."
After the parade, there is a Fountain Square Tree Lighting and Sing Along at 6 p.m., and horse-drawn carriage rides will run from 6:30 until 10 p.m.
