Save the date! - Audition Call for the hit musical, "Rock of Ages"

Reston Community Players announces their auditions for Rock of Ages.

Do you love to rock out to the iconic tunes of Bon Jovi, Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Whitesnake, and Twisted Sister? Have you always wanted to sing on stage with a killer band jammin’ out to these tunes? Then Rock of Ages is exactly what you are looking for. Aspiring rock star, Drew, and aspiring actress, Sherrie, try to prevent developers from turning the Sunset Strip into a strip mall. Break out your air guitar and Aqua Net, and join us for Rock of Ages.

Where: Reston Players Rehearsal Hall - 266 Sunset Park Drive in Herndon, VA
When: December 1st (7:45pm-10:15pm) and December 3rd (6:00pm-10:15pm)

• Prepare 16-32 bars that showcases your ability to sing Rock. An accompanist will be provided, but please bring sheet music in the correct key. If you wish to use a background track to better capture the essence and feel of the rock song of your choice, please have your song cued up on a device, unlocked, with an 1/8 in phone jack (standard on cellphones and mp3 players). We will provide the speaker and cable to play your device.
• Come dressed comfortably to move for a dance audition.
• Be prepared to list all conflicts between auditions and performances. The month of December will be an opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with the script and the music. We may have a few choreography and/or music rehearsals depending on conflicts, but the majority of rehearsals will not begin until after January 1st.
• Complete the audition form and bring it with you, or you can fill out the form when you arrive. Headshots are welcome, but we will also take your photo.
