Save the Date: Reston Multicultural Festival Coming Soon to Lake Anne Plaza

Reston's many cultures will be represented at the festive event, featuring performances and lots of food.

RESTON, VA — There's no question that Reston -- and Northern Virginia as a whole -- is a melting pot of cultures, and you'll get to see many of them on display in full festive garb at Lake Anne Plaza next month.

The Reston Multicultural Festival will be taking place rain or shine on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Lake Anne Plaza, so mark your calendars.

"The Reston Multicultural Festival is a celebration of the diversity and community spirit that are found in Reston," according to a statement. "This annual event brings together the people of Reston to celebrate our rich medley of cultures."

In recognition of that fact, the festival is encouraging everyone to dress in the attire that is representative of their cultural backgrounds.

The festival will feature all sorts of cultural showcases, including a Kimono Fashion Show, performances by an Irish accordionist and a Dragon Dance Performance. There will also be arts and crafts, an international book fair and plenty of food.
