Bijan Ghaisar Case: Park Police Officers' Charges Dismissed: Charges in Alexandria federal court were dismissed last week against U.S. Park Police officers Lucas Vinyard and Alejandro Amaya in the fatal shooting of McLean accountant Bjian Ghaisar in Fort Hunt. An opinion by a federal judge said the officers' decision to discharge their weapons was "necessary and proper."

3. Cornerstones Rallies NoVA To Support Annual Gifts For Kids Drive: Cornerstones, a social services nonprofit based in Reston, is encouraging Northern Virginia residents to support for its annual Gifts for Kids Drive.
