Community Corner
"Shop, Drive, & Drop" for the Hungry
Participate in this easy food collection event and help your neighbors in need!
Join Trinity Presbyterian Church for "Shop, Drive & Drop", a food collection event held on Saturday, June 20th, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in support of LINK. LINK delivers groceries to Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn community members all year long. To meet urgent food needs, LINK has increased service 1000%, and your donation will help feed 850 neighbors every week.
Participating in this food drive is an easy way to make a positive impact in the community.
- SHOP: During your next grocery run, pick up some shelf-stable food for LINK. The items needed most are cereal, white rice, bagged beans, canned meats, macaroni and cheese, canned pasta, hearty soups, and tomato products. As LINK is a 47-year-old nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible.
- DRIVE: Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20th, take your donations to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Dranesville Road, Herndon, VA.
- DROP: Place your donations in the trunk of a car located at the front of the church. Volunteers will take all of the collected food to the LINK pantry for distribution.
With the ongoing pandemic added to the area's preexisting food insecurity challenges, more and more neighbors are struggling to put food on their tables. Thank you for all you can do to donate food and to spread the word about this special collection.
