I saw this snapping turtle on the sidewalk behind the Baptist Church at Lake Anne Plaza on the morning of May 30, 2015. I’m assuming it was trying to make it’s way back to the lake, but it was stuck at the top of the stairs. I borrowed a plastic bin and flat shovel from the Reston Community Center Office at the plaza, and another fellow helped me put the turtle back in the lake. I like to help all animals when I can, but snapping turtles don’t make it easy
