Snow Odds Increase For Reston: Report

Things are looking a bit more favorable for some snowflakes on Saturday morning, but accumulation remains iffy.

RESTON, VA -- Will we or won't we get snow? That's been the question for the last few days as weather models have gone back and forth on how big of a chance we have of getting the white stuff -- and a new one suggests that light snow is a strong possibility Saturday morning.

Mike Thomas, a meteorologist with Fox 5, tweeted Thursday afternoon that the new European model is "at least on board with a period of light snow in DC on Saturday morning," so the "odds of first snow in DC & east are going up."

However, temperatures are a bit high for accumulation, especially with the ground still warm. And, of course, the weather forecast could change in a couple days. But as of now, flakes are looking like a pretty strong possibility.
