South Lakes High Homecoming is Friday Night, Here's What's Happening in Reston
A parade to South Lakes High School and then a highly anticipated football game are part of the evening's festivities.

RESTON, VA — It's time to celebrate homecoming at South Lakes High School, and you can join in the Friday night festivities and then root for the Seahawks as they take on Hayfield Secondary School.
The school is inviting the Reston community to watch the homecoming parade on Friday evening, which starts at 4:45 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m., beginning at Hunter Woods Shopping Center and proceeding north on Colts Neck Drive before turning east onto South Lakes Drive, where it will finish at the high school.
All ages are welcome to the event, which will include student organizations, South Lakes administration, class councils, school clubs, sports teams, and the "highly-regarded SLHS Marching Band, The Spirit of Reston," according to a statement.

"The parade will be highlighted by fairytale-themed floats built by members of each graduating class," the statement adds. "The last vehicle will be collecting used story books for donation to area charities."
After that, you can pay $5 to watch the undefeated Seahawks take on the Hayfield Secondary School.

"The Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime of the game; Homecoming King will be crowned at the dance on Saturday night," the statement says.
