No Gun Found At South Lakes High School: Police

UPDATE 3:34 p.m.: Fairfax County Police say that no weapon was found, and the investigation continues.

UPDATE 1:58 p.m.: The lockdown at South Lakes has been lifted as well.

UPDATE 1:35 p.m.: The lockdown has been lifted at Terraset and Hughes, and is "expected to be lifted at South Lakes HS shortly," Fairfax County Schools just tweeted.

RESTON, VA -- South Lakes High School is on lockdown due to concerns of a student with a gun, although police are skeptical of the claim.

Fairfax County Schools confirmed that South Lakes, along with Terraset Elementary and Hughes Middle School, were place on lockdown "a short while ago while police investigate a potential threat."

Some Twitter users say there was a man with a gun at the school. However, police say that this is likely a false report.
