'Armed and Dangerous': Police Release More Info on Arlington Murder Suspect

Police have released more information on a man wanted for murder in the shooting death of a man at a house party in Arlington early Sunday morning. A new photo of the suspect, 37-year-old Jason Allen Johnson of Washington, D.C., shows a tattoo on his neck that could help witnesses to identify him if they see him. >>> Read more.

8-Year-Old Boy Killed on ATV in Nokesville: Police

  • An 8-year-old boy died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle ATV crash Saturday in the 14900 block of Deepwood Lane, according to Prince William County Police.

Medicare Phone Scam Attempted in Fredericksburg: Police

  • Authorities issued an alert Tuesday regarding a Medicare insurance phone scam that attempted to victimize two senior citizens in the past 24 hours, according to Fredericksburg Police.

Suspects Face Charges of Defrauding Alexandria Senior Citizen of $71,000

  • The Grand Jury for the City of Alexandria on Feb. 13 returned indictments against four co-conspirators relating to a scheme to defraud an 89-year old Alexandria citizen out of substantial amounts of money, the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, City of Alexandria, announced Tuesday.
Power Bill Phone Scam Attempted in Fairfax: Police
  • This is a scam that's been making the rounds for at least the past several years, and it involves two things: a fake representative of Dominion Power and a telephone, according to Fairfax Police. A man told police he received a phone call from a male who said he was with the power company, and told him to pay his overdue bill or his service would be stopped.
