Stumped on What to Do in the Reston Area This Weekend? Here's a Few Great Options
There's actually a ton of activities going on in both Reston and Herndon this weekend for the whole family.

RESTON, VA -- It's the dog days of summer, and if you're not on vacation, sometimes it's tough to figure out how to keep the kids -- and yourself -- entertained. But fortunately, Reston residents have a whole host of options this weekend.
The Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival will be running from Thursday through Sunday this week at Frying Pan Park next door in Herndon. You can read more about that here.
If you're not in the mood for the fair, however, there's plenty of alternatives. If you're the active type, you can check out the Flash Mob Zumba Event after work on Friday, which takes place at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Reston Town Center Pavilion. The event will benefit Jill's House, a charity that supports children with special needs.

Or, you can try Free Yoga on the Plaza, which takes place Sunday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Lake Anne Plaza. And if you miss it this weekend, don't worry: it will be held a few more Sundays, with the last one being Aug. 28. Don't forget to bring your own mat and water.
If you'd rather chill out and listen to some tunes, there's plenty of opportunities to do that as well. The weekly concert series "Friday Night Live" continues Aug. 5 from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. with a performance by Sam Grow + Delta Spur at Herndon Town Green, which is located at 777 Lynn Street in Herndon.

Or, drop by the Reston Town Center Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday to catch a performance by Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band as part of the "Reston Concerts on the Town" series.
If Sunday is the only day you're free -- or you want even more live music action -- head up to the Great Falls Village Green in Great Falls for "Concerts on the Green," this week featuring Natty Beaux starting at 6 p.m. Bring a picnic with you if you want.
And if you're looking for something that will be more kids-focused, come by Town Square Park at Reston Town Center Saturday morning at 10 a.m. for the Family Fun Entertainment Series featuring Mr. Skip.
"Come move and groove with Mr. Skip! Wear your Hawaiian shirt and be ready for hot tunes for cool kids," according to Reston Town Center's site. "Mr. Skip will get kids of all ages 'dancing around as if they had ants in their pants.'"
