Sunset Hills Road In Reston Reopens After Police Investigation: Update
Fairfax County Police Department's Explosive Ordnance Unit investigated a suspicious package near the Reston Metro Station Monday night.

RESTON, VA — Sunset Hills Road at Reston Metro Station reopened to traffic after Fairfax County Police wrapped up their investigation into a suspicious device found in the area of the station. There was no threat to the police, according to police.
"At 4:40 pm officers responded to Sunset Hills Rd and Visionary Way area in Reston for a report of a suspicious package," FCPD told patch in an email. "Out of an abundance of caution, our EOD [Explosive Ordnance Disposal] Unit responded to clear the item. The item was found to NOT be an explosive device. Our officers have cleared the area. There is no apparent threat to the community at this time."
