Suspicious Package Reported In Reston Deemed Safe: Police
Fairfax County police evacuated several businesses and asked residents to avoid the area.
RESTON, VA — After investigating what officials called a suspicious package, Fairfax County police said Wednesday night the package was deemed safe by investigators.
The package was reported in the 11800 block of Spectrum Center. Several businesses were evacuated, police said, and residents were asked to avoid the area.
Just before 4:50 p.m., members of the Fairfax County Special Operations Division responded to assist in the investigation.
