Police are searching for suspects after the Nazi symbol was discovered in a neighborhood near the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.

RESTON, VA — Police are searching for suspects after someone found a swastika painted on a home in Reston.

Police say the incident happened sometime between July 1-6 in the 11600 block of Hunters Green Court, a quiet community of townhouses just off Sunrise Valley Drive and just a 15 minute walk from the Wiehle-Reston East Metro station.

The swastika was painted on an outdoor wall behind the home, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police are treating it as a "bias incident," according to the report. They do not currently have any suspects or even a description.

The swastika is a symbol commonly associated with Nazism and is frequently used in the United States as a way to intimidate minorities.
