Tentative Plans Call for Mostly Residential Development of Tall Oaks Village in Reston

Jefferson Apartment Group met Thursday night with Reston residents interested in hearing about the plans for the Tall Oaks Village shopping center.

The McLean-based Jefferson Apartment Group bought the languishing property in December; since then, local residents have been wondering what the future holds for Tall Oaks.

Tentative plans call for mainly residential development featuring townhome condominiums with some retail development, according to the company. JAG plans to keep an office building and assisted living facility, Tall Oaks Village Center, next door.

The new owners say the plans are “an evolving concept” and plan to meet with residents again on Monday for those who couldn’t make it Thursday night. The Monday meeting will also be held at the Reston Association.
