Reston Homeowner Shocked By Strange Man Standing In His Kitchen At 3 AM: Police
Police have arrested two Reston men on charges ranging from burglary to auto theft after a scary moment for one local resident.

RESTON, VA — Police have arrested a Reston man on several charges after they say a homeowner who was locking up his house at 3 a.m. suddenly found a stranger in his kitchen.
Police say that the homeowner was locking his house doors in the 1200 block of Cobble Pond Way "discovered an unknown man standing in his kitchen," according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
"The unknown man then ran away and the homeowner gave chase while his wife called the police," the report states. "Officers responded to the area and located a suspicious van occupied by 2 men."

The van came back as being stolen, and police identified one of the men as being the person who was discovered in the home. Police arrested 20-year-old David Pugnettif of Reston, who was charged with burglary and also had an outstanding warrant for carrying a concealed weapon, police say.
Police charged the other man, 22-year-old John Kyle of Reston, with auto theft and driving on a revoked license.
