HERNDON, VA — A raging townhouse deck fire in Herndon threatened to spread to other units on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities. No injuries were reported.

Fairfax County fire and rescue units responded just before 4 p.m. to multiple reports of a deck fire that was rapidly spreading at a Herndon townhouse complex, according to authorities, according to a post on the department's official X account.

Arriving on the scene, firefighters found fire and smoke showing from the rear of a middle townhouse unit in the 2600 block of Jetstream Road, the post said. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
