VIDEO: Santa's 2014 Harley Ride to Area Schools
Santa led Fairfax County Police and officers from other jurisdictions on visits to local schools Tuesday. Watch a video of the ride below.

If you heard a lot of “vroom, vroom” sounds Tuesday it might just have been Santa and his elves. They were set to zoom around Fairfax County as part of the 28th Annual Santa’s Ride: a motorcade featuring Santa and his elves on motorcycles, helping gather and deliver donated gifts to hospitalized children.
Santa and his helpers include the Fairfax County Police Motor Squad, Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, Falls Church Sheriff’s Office Motor Squad, City of Falls Church Police Department Motor Squad, Virginia State Police Motor Squad, City of Fairfax Police Motor Squad and the Town of Vienna Police Motor Squad.
On their ride yesterday, Santa and his elves picked up unwrapped toys, games, books, and gifts to be distributed to children at Fairfax Hospital and Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center and to the children in the community who might not otherwise have a cheerful holiday season.
Santa was expected to stop at schools in Clifton, Fairfax, Falls Church, Reston, Fort Hunt, Kingstowne and Springfield.
