YMCA Reston Community Gala Returns To Benefit Local Families, Children
Each year, YMCA Reston hosts a community gala as a fundraiser to support programming that helps to improve the lives of local families.

RESTON, VA — For 23 years, thousands of lives in Reston and Fairfax County have been transformed thanks to the money raised at the annual YMCA Reston Community Gala. Money raised at the annual event goest to support local youth development and healthy living programs, according to a release.
YMCA Reston is hosting this year's gala on Saturday, April 22, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., at 12196 Sunset Hills Road in Reston. Tickets start at $150 and can be purchased online, which is also where people can find out more information or make a donation. For gala attendees, cocktail attire is welcome.
“Gala guests, sponsors, and donors ensure the YMCA of Fairfax County Reston can provide neighbors in need with access to facilities, programs, camps, and preschool/after school care to help build a healthy mind, body, and spirit and strengthen the entire community," said YMCA Reston Board Chair T. J. Radtke, in a release.

In addition to dinner and dancing, the gala will include a recognition ceremony. Guests can also bid on items either in-person or online in the gala's silent auction. Some of the items available to bid on include:
- Nationals Baseball Tickets
- Meals from Mon Ami Gabi, Gregorio’s Trattoria, Deli Italiano, True Food, Passion Fish, and Maker’s Union
- Next Stop Theater Tickets
- Zoofari and Great Wolf Lodge Passes
- Wine Tastings and Bourbon Baskets
- And of course YMCA classes, coaches, passes, and perks.
“The YMCA engages more 250,000 individuals and families with wellness, aquatics, and youth sports programs, as well as summer camps, child care, and specialized programs for seniors," said YMCA Reston Executive Director Jason Jackson, in a release. "We’re here to support all of our community members so they can life their best lives, and make Reston and Fairfax County an incredible place to live, work, and play."
