Your Vote is Your Power
The citizens of Ferguson, Missouri, have just shown how powerful your vote can be!

Two African American candidates were elected, for the first time, to the Ferguson, MO, city council. Local elections have always shown a low voter turnout. I have heard comments such as, “my vote wouldn’t matter.” But it does!
Just think if hundreds of people thought the same way and stayed away from the polls and the one person you didn’t want to see in office got elected. Just think how much of a difference your vote could have made. Just think if the citizens of Ferguson thought a vote for a Black candidate would be a wasted vote. Just think. If you did not vote in your local elections recently, or have never voted in your local elections, let this be the year you make a change.
Your vote can make a difference in so many of the issues we are facing. Your vote sends a message to those politicians who say one thing and do another. Your vote can put into office, those politicians and activists who represent you and will fight for the changes you want. Your VOTE is your POWER. Exercise your power!!!
