It’s been a soggy week across Northern Virginia. Will the weekend give us a break? Here’s the forecast for this weekend for Reston from the National Weather Service:

  • Friday: A chance of showers before noon. Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 72. Northeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Light and variable wind.
  • Saturday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Saturday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77. East wind 6 to 10 mph.
  • Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

For next week’s work week, Monday could see some showers, but the NWS predicts sunny skies Tuesday through Thursday.
