3. Richmond gets road win at Lafayette, rallied from 17-point deficit (wric.com) — Richmond football fans can celebrate a big Spiders comeback, as quarterback Ashten Snelsire led Richmond from a 17-point deficit to a 40-31 road win over Lafayette. The team scored on five straight possessions and now turns attention to next weekend's matchup at Fordham, keeping local hopes high for a strong season.
4. This Day in Henrico History: Oct. 4 – Topgolf opens in Henrico's Westwood area (henricocitizen.com) — Seven years ago today, Topgolf Richmond opened just over the city line in Henrico's Westwood area, helping spark redevelopment near Richmond's fast-growing Scott's Addition. The 55,000-square-foot venue brought hundreds of jobs and signaled a broader push for mixed-use investment and reinvestment in the corridor west of I-195.
