JK Moving cites its nonprofit JK Community Farm as one of its most significant contributions to community welfare and environmental sustainability. According to the company, the farm produces more than 50 varieties of vegetables, fruits, proteins, and herbs using thousands of hours of volunteer labor from the community, local companies, and JK employees. The farm donates its produce to local food banks and pantries, including Loudoun Hunger Relief, Food for Others, Arlington Food Assistance Center, and DC Central Kitchen.

According to the company, JK Community Farm has distributed more than 1 million pounds of vegetables and protein to families facing food insecurity and donated more than 250,000 pounds last year alone. JK Land Holdings has also conserved the farmland so that it will be protected in perpetuity from development.

The company says its JK Land Holdings arm has placed more than 22,000 acres into conservation easement, protecting them against development. More than a third of those acres are in Northern Virginia.

JK Moving Services and its associated companies employ nearly 1,200 people. The company, founded by Northern Virginia native Chuck Kuhn, now has offices in 5 countries and describes itself as the largest independent moving company in the country. It was named one of Forbes’ best moving companies for 2026.
