Winchester has a proud musical history, and one local artist is making sure the Shenandoah Valley continues to have a place on the country music map.

Chris Darlington, an active Deputy Sheriff and Winchester native, is making country music history as the first active Deputy Sheriff to take a song to major country radio. Even more impressively, Darlington is only the second artist from Winchester to have a charted song since the legendary Patsy Cline.
