The app lets you review searches, block categories like social media, pause internet access, and receive alerts about concerning behavior, with guides and FAQs available from the district to help families talk about online safety.

'A good run': Bowman librarian starting a new chapter (nvdaily.com) — A longtime leader of the Winchester-based Handley Regional Library System, Bowman Library branch manager Mary Anton, is retiring Friday after 22 years of service. From White House libraries to helping build Bowman's programs and dreaming up a teen room, she's shaped how families around Stephens City and Winchester experience their local libraries and plans to stay in the area with her grandchildren.
4. Belle Grove Unveils Exhibit on Monday Robinson's Life (thewinchestergazette.com) — A new free exhibit on Monday Robinson's journey from enslavement to community leader opens Sept. 26 at Belle Grove Plantation in nearby Middletown, a short drive from Winchester. Local readers are invited to RSVP for the opening program, explore original historical documents, and learn how Robinson's life intertwined with Frederick County and the broader Shenandoah Valley.
