• Road Watch: Lane Closures Set Across Frederick County (thewinchestergazette.com) — If you drive in or around Winchester this week, expect lane closures and shifting traffic on I-81, Route 7 near Ross Street, Route 37, and several other major routes for paving, bridge work, and utility projects. Most restrictions run daytime or overnight through late September and early October, so plan extra time and watch for changing patterns across Frederick County.
   

• Devils take third at Hornet Harrier Invitational (cumberlink.com) — A women's college cross-country meet brought out-of-town teams to Winchester as Dickinson College's squad placed third at Shenandoah University's Hornet Harrier Invitational 6K. With strong individual finishes throughout their lineup, the Red Devils trailed only Washington & Lee and host Shenandoah in a 47-runner field before turning their focus to a major upcoming meet in Pennsylvania.
