1-Year-Old Dials 911, and Police Respond: Media Report
Woodbridge woman charged with abandonment of an infant: Prince William County police.

A toddler left home alone on Sunday evening apparently dialed 911 by accident, summoning police officers to her Woodbridge home, according to a media report.

The Prince William County police responded at 7:49 p.m. to a residence in the 16500 block of Royal Court, finding the front door open when they arrived, WTTG-TV Channel 5 reported. They found the 1-year-old alone, according to a police report. She was not injured.
A short time later, Felicita Ortiz Sorto, 56, a family member, returned to the home. The police arrested her and charged her with abandonment of an infant, the police report said.

Sorto, 56, of 16563 Royal Court, was released on a $5,000 bond, and her next date in court is pending, the police said.
