13-Year-Old Girl Accused Of Sexual Assault At Fred Lynn Middle School In Woodbridge: Cops

A 13-year-old girl was charged with sexual assault after an incident in a bathroom at Fred Lynn Middle School last week, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 13-year-old girl faces a sexual assault charge after an incident in a bathroom at Fred Lynn Middle School last week, police said. Investigators said the girl sexually assaulted another girl before hitting a boy who was outside the bathroom.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 21. School security reported the assault to the school resource officer the next day.

Authorities determined that the 13-year-old girl pushed the victim against a wall in the bathroom and inappropriately touched her. The police department identified the victim as another 13-year-old girl.

The victim separated from the other girl and left the bathroom. The 13-year-old suspect followed the victim into the hallway, police said.

A 13-year-old boy was waiting outside the bathroom when the girls exited. The suspect and the boy began to argue with each other, according to the police report. At one point, the suspect struck the boy, authorities said.

The three students eventually separated. The assaults were reported to school staff the next day, and police were notified. No injuries were reported from the assaults.

After an investigation, the school resource officer charged the 13-year-old suspect. She faces charges of sexual assault and assault. Her court date is pending, and she was released to a family member, according to the police report.
