WOODBRIDGE, VA – The 16-year-old who was shot during a car meet early on Saturday morning has died of his injuries, police say. According to the Prince William County Police Department, a 16-year-old boy who was shot during a car meet in the 14100 block of Crossing Place in Woodbridge died of his injuries in a local hospital on Sunday. Police say his death has been declared a homicide and they will not be releasing the boy's identity. Police reported <a href="https://patch.com/virginia/woodbridge-va/16-year-old-left-life-threatening-injuries-after-woodbridge-car-meet-shooting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">earlier on Monday</a> that they'd been alerted to the crime when the boy was first taken to the hospital. Responding to the scene of the shooting at 2:02 a.m. Saturday, police say they found shell casings and evidence of a fight, but no witnesses or participants. No information about a suspect has been released.
