19-Year-Old Man Dies From Gunshot Wound In Woodbridge: Police

While police investigated the shooting at a Woodbridge intersection, another man arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man who was shot in Woodbridge late Tuesday night later died at an area hospital from his gunshot wound, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

At 10:15 p.m., Prince William County officers went to Valleywood Drive and Colebrook Lane to investigate a shots fired call. The victim, identified by police as Micah Antonio Mutz, 19, of Woodbridge, was located nearby on Oakwood Drive suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers used trauma kits and initiated CPR until rescue personnel arrived at the scene. The man later died at the hospital.

While investigating the shooting, an additional man arrived at an area hospital, also suffering from gunshot injuries. The second man is expected to recover, the police said Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau of the Prince William County Police Department are investigating the incident to determine what led to the shooting.

At this point, the incident appears to be isolated to the Valleywood Drive and Colebrook Lane intersection, the police said. The shooting also does not appear to be random, according to police.
