2 Injured After Driver Shoots At Cops On I-95 Near Quantico: Police
Two people were injured on Wednesday night after a driver fired gunshots at police following a chase that ended on I-95 near Quantico.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Two people were injured on Wednesday night after a driver crashed and fired gunshots at state troopers on I-95 near Quantico, Virginia State Police said.
Officials said the state troopers returned fire, but they did not specify the nature of their injuries. No police officers were injured in the gunfight.
The two people, a male driver and a female passenger, are receiving medical treatment. State police officials did not have more information about them available on Wednesday.

Authorities said a state trooper started chasing an SUV on I-95 in Fairfax County after learning that the vehicle had the wrong license plates. The trooper attempted to pull over the SUV, but the driver fled southbound toward Prince William County.
Near exit 148, the SUV driver ran off the side of the road and crashed in the woods, according to a police report.

"As troopers approached the SUV, the driver began shooting at them," a Virginia State Police spokesperson said on Wednesday night. "State police returned fire."
Authorities said more information would be released as it becomes available. I-95 was southbound was shut down starting at exit 150 for a police investigation. At 11:15 p.m., the VDOT Twitter account noted that the shutdown would last several hours.
