2 Prince William Residents Died In Fairfax Crash On Friday: Police
A pair of people from Prince William County died in a single-vehicle crash near Leesburg Pike and Chain Bridge Road on Friday morning.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A pair of people from Prince William County died on Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Fairfax County, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Authorities identified the people involved as 51-year-old Lori Byars from Woodbridge and 59-year-old David Turch from Triangle.
The crash occurred around 3:50 a.m. on Friday morning, according to the police department. Detectives believe Byars was driving a 1986 Mercedes 420 SEL eastbound on Leesburg Pike. TUrch was a passenger in the car.

Authorities believe the car left the road near Chain Bridge Road and hit a light pole and a traffic signal pole before stopping. First responders pronounced Byars and Turch dead at the scene.
Detectives believe that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, according to the police report.
