2-Year-Old Boy Forgotten, Left Alone At Potomac Mills By School Group

A 2-year-old boy was left alone at the Potomac Mills shopping mall last Monday before caretakers realized he was missing: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 2-year-old boy under the care of Ebenezer Christian Academy was left alone at the Potomac Mills shopping mall last Monday before school officials returned to the mall after realizing he was missing, according to Prince William County Police. The program director, Christal Anita Lundy, of the 2900 block of Fox Lair Drive was arrested Friday and charged with felony child neglect.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., police responded to the mall to investigate a report of child neglect. Mall security told police a 2-year-old boy was found asleep and unsupervised in a stroller in the food court. Around 3 p.m., caretakers returned to the mall in an effort to find him. He later was released to the custody of a family member. Lundy was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
