$200M Kaiser Permanente Medical Center Now Open In Woodbridge
Kaiser Permanente's new Caton Hill Medical Center is now open in Woodbridge after a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Kaiser Permanente's new medical center on Minnieville Road in Woodbridge is now open. The $200 million facility includes five stories and 245,000 square feet.
The new medical center will host specialists and primary care doctors. The facility has surgical suites, and observation unit, a pharmacy, and advanced urgent care. Officials said the medical campus is among the largest on the east coast.
Ann Wheeler is the chair of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. "In addition to more than 50 high-paying jobs coming to our community, this new medical center represents more than $200 million in capital investment," Wheeler said in a news release. "This center expects to see more than 40,000 residents from our county and around the region this year."

"Taking on this project during the COVID-19 pandemic was both important and daunting," Tom Flynn, the deputy director of the Prince WIlliam County Department of Economic Development, said in a news release. "We were excited to provide targeted industry status for this healthcare project, resulting in a reduction in permitting fees as well as fast-track permitting that helped keep the project on schedule. We look forward to Kaiser partnering with our growing life science companies to provide a platform for testing new drugs and therapies."
At the ribbon cutting event on Thursday, Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye reflected on the future of the area.
"We are standing in The Landing, an area envisioned as a dynamic, mixed-use community with both good-paying jobs and commuting options in walking distance for our residents, along with other essential amenities," Boddye said on Thursday. "Kaiser Permanente brings us closer to that vision."
Kaiser Permanente has sponsored a new wellness park, located off of Minnieville Road in Lake Ridge. The park opened in June and features universal fitness equipment designed for people of all ages and abilities.
"Our partner Kaiser Permanente embraced an opportunity to promote health and wellness in this neighborhood, and we are proud that Prince William County has another opportunity to create more green space in our community," parks director Seth Hendler-Voss said at the park's opening in June.
