The rebranded Woodbridge location offers shoppers a thrifting experience exceeding expectations

WOODBRIDGE, VA —August 17, 2017— Today 2nd Ave. Value Stores, the Mid-Atlantic thrift chain dedicated to bringing consumers the best value in clothing, household goods, and collectibles, introduces the rebranding of its Woodbridge store. The recent updates represents the company’s latest response to increasingly elevated consumer expectations of resale shopping. Through a series of advancements, 2nd Ave. continues to be the first destination of trendy thrifters.
“We have served the Woodbridge community for over a decade as an anchor for the Smoketown Plaza,” says Tony Peressini, chief executive officer of 2nd Ave. Value Stores. “Our rebranding efforts in this store welcomes the millennial shopper while remaining true to the values that have kept customers of all ages coming back. Our customers depend on us to shop with ease close to home for high-quality products at affordable prices, and we are committed to providing them with the best thrift shopping experience.”

To remain the thrift store of choice for all thrifters in the Woodbridge area, 2nd Ave. today unveiled the rebranding, with various improvements to the store, including:

  • The creation of jobs within the community, including Customer Service Specialists to help each shopper find what they need and ensure a high-quality experience. Customer Specialists are bilingual in English and Spanish, catering to all shoppers
  • Elevated shopping experience to provide a modernized, 180-degree shopping experience
  • A safe and fun play area filled with children’s books and toys to accommodate the whole family

Through this rebranding, 2nd Ave. will continue to work hand-in-hand with nationally recognized charitable organizations including the American Red Cross, Military Order of the Purple Heart, National Federation of the Blind, and Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Philadelphia by purchasing donated items through each charity. Throughout the last 10 years, 2nd Ave. has raised in excess of $25 million for these organizations.
