3-Year-Old Found Alone Wandering Street In Triangle: Police

A father who called Prince William County Police to report the 3-year-old missing has been charged.

TRIANGLE, VA — A father has been charged with child neglect after a 3-year-old was found alone in the road in Triangle Sunday.

Officers had responded to Graham Park Road near Purvis Drive around 10:11 a.m. for a child found unsupervised. According to police, the 3-year-old boy was walking in the road. Good Samaritans secured the child until officers arrived.

Police were initially unable to find the child's home, but the father called police to report the child missing. He was unaware the child had left home, police say.

Terrell Anthony Edwards, 31, of Triangle, was charged with felony child neglect. A court date is pending.

The child was uninjured and was released to the custody of known parities.
