7-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted In Woodbridge: Police

TRIANGLE, VA — A man sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl Saturday at an apartment in the 18100 block of Kilmer Lane, according to Prince William County Police. Cesario Arenas Aviles, 29, of the aforementioned address, was charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, abduction and domestic assault & battery. He's being held without bond.

Shortly after midnight Sunday, police responded to a report of a sexual assault. Their investigation found that Aviles sexually assaulted the girl around 6 p.m. Saturday. Shortly thereafter, the girl told her mother, 31, about the incident. The mother then confronted Aviles, after which he went into prevention mode.

Namely, he took the mother's cell phone and then, for the next several hours, prevented the mother and the girl from leaving the apartment. The victims eventually were able to contact police. Aviles fled before police arrived but was located and arrested without incident a short while later.
