70-Year-Old Assaulted By Family Member In Woodbridge: Police
A woman was arrested after knocking a 70-year-old family member to the ground and then trying to hit her with a stool in Woodbridge: Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman was arrested after knocking a 70-year-old family member to the ground and then trying to hit her with a stool Sunday night in the 7700 block of Cedar Branch Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Elizabeth Ann Lavache, 48, of the aforementioned address, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault & battery and destruction of property.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police went to the home for a reported assault. The victim said she and Lavache were in an argument that escalated. She was able to avoid being hit by the stool, after which she fled the residence and contacted police. Lavache also fled the area but was arrested the next morning after returning. Minor injuries were reported.
