78-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed In Prince William County Commuter Lot

A 78-year-old from Occoquan was struck by a vehicle and killed while trying to cross traffic lanes in a commuter parking lot.

WOODBRIDGE, VA – A 78-year-old man was struck and killed while walking in the Occuquan Commuter Lot on Friday, according to Prince William County police. A 42-year-old Woodbridge woman was driving the vehicle that struck him.

According to the Prince William County police, officers responded to the Occoquan Commuter Lot at about 6:30 a.m. following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. They say 78-year-old John Gregory Grace of Occoquan was crossing the Gordon Boulevard entry and exit lanes of the lot when he was struck by a woman driving a 202 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Grace was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

The driver, a 42-year-old woman from Woodbridge, stayed on the scene. Grace was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
