ABC Store Thief Attacks Clerk With Booze In Woodbridge: Police
A woman stole three bottles of liquor from an ABC store and smashed one over the head of a 68-year-old clerk who followed her, police say.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman stole three bottles of liquor from an ABC store, smashed one over the head of a 68-year-old female employee who tried to stop her and then went back inside and swiped two more bottles from the store at 16661 River Ridge Road, according to Prince William County Police.
Ivy Joethel Moorefield, 43, of the 18800 block of Fuller Heights Road in Triangle, was found at her home shortly afterward and charged with aggravated malicious wounding and robbery. The employee was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Around 9 p.m., police responded to the store for a reported disturbance. The employee said Moorefield walked in, grabbed three bottles of alcohol and walked out without paying. After being followed outside by the employee, Moorefield hit her in the head with one of the bottles.

She then picked up a shard of glass and threatened the woman before walking back inside the ABC store and stealing two more bottles of alcohol. She left before police arrived.
