Accused Burglar Falls Asleep, Awakes to Handcuffs
Dumfries residents discover suspect inside their home, say Prince William County police.

A Stafford County man was arrested Monday night after the residents of a Dumfries home found him sleeping under a bed in their house.

Devante Anthony Solomon, 21, of 4 Niday Drive in Stafford, is being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail on a burglary charge, according to a Prince William County police report. His next date in court is July 29.
At 11:10 p.m. Monday, police officers responded to the report of a trespasser at a residence in the 3000 block of Sassafras Tree Court in Dumfries. The homeowners told the police that they returned home to discover Solomon sleeping underneath a bed.

The officers roused Solomon, who appeared to be intoxicated, the police report said. He and the family know each other, but he doesn’t live at the residence.
The officers found that Solomon had climbed onto an SUV parked in the home’s driveway to reach an unsecured second-floor window. He was arrested without incident.
