ALDI Holding Hiring Event In Dumfries

DUMFRIES, VA—ALDI, a German-based grocery store chain, is having a hiring event at its Dumfries store this month. The store at 17010 Jefferson Davis Highway will have its event 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 30.

ALDI is seeking store associates at $13.5 per hour, shift managers at $18 per hour and manager trainee positions. Store managers can earn $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Employees working an average 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees are invited to participate in the 401(k) program.

The chain is known for offering wages and benefits higher than the national average for the retail industry.

Positions open are:

• Store Associate, $13.50 per hour plus a pay increase after 6 months of employment.
• Shift Manager, $12 to $13.50 plus a $4.50 per hour premium when performing manager duties; base rate will increase after 6 months of employment
• Manager Trainee, $45,000 to $62,000 per year, depending on location ($25 per hour, averaging 45 hours per week), with an opportunity to earn $70,000 to $90,000 per year as a store manager

Job Requirements: Must be 18 years or older to apply; a high school diploma or GED preferred; must be available to work any time between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday through Sunday; retail experience preferred; management experience preferred for manager trainees; drug screening and background check; ability to lift 45 pounds.
