Alexandria Man Arrested For Robbery of Triangle 7-Eleven: Police

TRIANGLE, VA — Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department arrested a man Thursday in connection with a robbery last Saturday at a 7-Eleven store in Triangle. Deshaun Marquis Stoney, 29, of Alexandria was arrested in the Woodbridge area without incident, police said.

At around 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 8, police went to the 7-Eleven on Fuller Heights Rd. in Triangle to investigate a robbery. The store employee told police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the front counter.

During the encounter, the suspect brandished a firearm before demanding money and tobacco products, the police said. The suspect took store products and money before fleeing on foot prior to police arriving at the store, according to police. A police K-9 and the Fairfax County police helicopter responded to search the area for the suspect who was not located.

The police said they have charged Stoney with robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held in jail without bond.

On Monday, two separate 7-Eleven stores in Woodbridge were robbed by armed men. Prince William County police are still investigating Monday's armed robberies.
