Alexandria Man Wanted For Shooting Of Woman In Woodbridge: Police

Prince William County police are looking for an Alexandria man in connection with an early Wednesday shooting of a woman in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police are looking for an Alexandria man in connection with the shooting of a woman early Wednesday morning at the Bayvue Apartments in Woodbridge. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries from which she is expected to recover, according to the police.

At around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, Prince William County Police Department officers went to the 1200 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge to investigate a shots-fired call. The officers located the victim, a 31-year-old woman, outside in the common area of the complex suffering from gunshot injuries.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, Tyree Rashad Henderson, 23, of Alexandria, is an acquaintance of the victim. He allegedly shot the woman during an argument. Henderson allegedly fled the area prior to police arriving at the location.

Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for Henderson who was not found. Following an investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Henderson.

The photo of Henderson, who is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall and 190 pounds, is from April, according to the police. Henderson, who has multiple tattoos on his arms, is wanted for malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, the police said.
